The Flange Nut threads onto the clamping stud above your clamp, locking the entire hold-down assembly in place. The integrated flange — a wide, flat bearing face below the hex — distributes clamping force across a larger area than a standard nut, which reduces point loading on the clamp surface.
This matters on hardened clamps and step blocks: concentrated load from a plain nut can dish the contact face over time, causing uneven clamping pressure. The flange spreads that force and keeps the assembly flat.
Manufactured from medium carbon steel, hardened and tempered to HRC 24–32, black oxide finished. Available in 10 variants covering IS thread sizes M8 to M36, manufactured to IS 7795-2004.
One less part in your setup: because the flange acts as its own washer, it can reduce the need for a separate plate washer in many configurations. Faster setup, fewer loose components on the table. Ships from ready stock.
