description

Hard Jaws are the workhorse gripping solution for raw stock, rough-machined components and any workpiece where surface finish isn’t a concern at the gripping diameter. Unlike soft jaws that you bore to size, hard jaws come pre-ground and ready to use.

The gripping surfaces are hardened and ground to consistent dimensions, giving you repeatable clamping diameter without the setup time of boring custom jaws. Ideal for first-operation turning, bar stock work and any high-volume job where you’re gripping the same diameter repeatedly.

Where soft jaws give you a full-contact custom bore, hard jaws give you speed — no boring step, just mount and grip. Most shops keep both: hard jaws for roughing and raw stock, soft jaws for second-op and finish work.

Available in 3 variants covering chuck diameters Ø165, Ø200 and Ø250. Supplied as 3-jaw sets. Ships from ready stock.
