description

The T Nut – Chuck Soft Jaws is designed specifically for lathe chuck applications — it sits in the T-slot of the chuck body and anchors the jaw-mounting screw. Every time you change jaws (hard jaws to soft jaws, or swap jaw sets for a different bore range), this nut takes the load.

The bearing face is precision-ground for flush seating inside the chuck slot. A nut that doesn’t sit flat causes jaw runout — the workpiece won’t spin true, and your parts come out eccentric. Ground faces eliminate that.

Manufactured from medium carbon steel, hardened and tempered to HRC 24–32. The thread is gauged to ensure clean, consistent engagement with standard chuck screws. Available in 5 variants covering chuck diameters Ø135 to Ø315.

For shops running frequent jaw changeovers — job shops, small-batch production — we recommend keeping a spare set on hand. Ships from ready stock.
